Key Words: grateful adj. – 感謝している ,crate n. -箱、特に運搬用 ,stack v. -積む ,sand v. -サンドペーパーをかける ,carpenter n. -大工さん
We have a few new things for our house. We’re grateful!
(the Bangladesh flag looks a lot like the Japanese flag, I think.)
Of course, I had to sand them and paint them with a dark wood coat. I think they look pretty good.
That’s right I’m an English teacher AND a carpenter! 😉
She also had to leave behind this beautiful, old antique chest.
Now we can put our dishes somewhere safe and maybe we won’t break so many.
Thanks for reading!

We went to a new donut shop in downtown Kyoto on Tuesday. It’s called “floresta: nature dougnuts” Have you heard of them? More info:click here
Kahoru wanted to try them so we bought a few.
They were OK but we weren’t that impressed…
However, if you want to try it I recommend the cranberry or the coconut ones.
Thanks for reading.
DID YOU KNOW?
Today, “donut” is the common US spelling of the word but we used to use “doughnut.” You can see the origin better in the original if you know that dough is きじ.

Today Andrew is a little sick so I am writing this blog for the first time.
Does anyone know about Pilates ピラティス? Has anyone done it before?
Well, I went to the first Pilates lesson last Tuesday. The class is especially for posture adjustment and backache.
Some people might know that I have a backache. I guess it is from sitting on the cheap chair for a long time!
Anyway I went to the lesson and it was really good!
Pilates is like Yoga, so you have to pay attention to your breathing while you are doing exercise.
But it is not so much about posing. It is about ‘inner muscle.’
If you want to know more about Pilates, click here!
Well, one of my new year resolutions is ‘start exercising’ so I am thinking taking the lessons for a while.
I hope my backache will be gone soon!!!
Do you exercise regularly? If you do, what do you do?

Did you have a nice Golden Week? I’d like another, actually.
We were busy all vacation re-decorating the house. And we’re still not done! We have to wait for the new carpets, dresser, and chest to be delivered.
If you see our house you will notice many,
many small changes.
But these you probably won’t see (because they’re upstairs).
Thanks for reading, this short Golden Week post.
See you soon!
